With four kids of his own and four grandchildren (and counting!), Sam takes great pride in his role as the ultimate grandparent, especially when it comes to unlimited ice cream! When not doting on his kids or grandkids, you’ll find Sam impatiently honing his golf swing or absorbed in real estate. He’s passionate about the hunt for hidden property gems and a sixth sense for spotting potential, even when the rest of us just see plain old walls.

With his Dad in the business, pest control has been a part of Sam’s life from the very beginning, so it was only natural when Sam officially joined the family operation 10 years ago. As Executive Vice President, Sam plays a key leadership role, overseeing high-level operations, business development, strategic initiatives, and customer satisfaction. Sam also ensures all departments and teams are operating effectively and efficiently, stepping in to offer support and problem solve whenever needed.

Sam is never one to sit still. At 33, he took the leap and returned to Rutgers to earn his MBA. When he’s not buried in textbooks, you’ll find him at home with his wife and two kids. A self-proclaimed Grill Master, Sam’s the expert when it comes to BBQ, but he’s also got breakfast covered—whipping up a mean omelet or Belgian waffle. His most rewarding role, however, is being a dad. Whether he’s putting on guitar concerts for his 5-year-old, hiking to a local waterfall to dip his feet with his kids, or wiping runny noses, Sam treasures it all.

Ryan has been involved in the pest control industry since high school, working alongside his father in the family business. Now as COO at Excel, Ryan oversees the company’s daily operations, managing teams across various departments to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and overall success—both in the field and administratively.

When Ryan’s off the clock, he’s all about family, fun, and hands-on projects. For 15 years, he coached his sons’ football and baseball teams. In the kitchen, he’s the mastermind behind epic holiday feasts and family pizza nights—skills he inherited straight from his mom, the real culinary pro. But Ryan’s true passion lies in DIY and home renovation. With a sharp eye for design, he’s transformed his master bath, kitchen, and home gym—and even designed all of Excel’s offices. Thanks, Ryan, for creating such awesome spaces for us to work in!

Mike manages the company’s financial and HR operations, focusing on financial stewardship, risk management and long-term growth. As a hands-on manager, Mike is eager to offer strategic insights to senior leadership or actively support other teams whenever needed.

Out of the office, Mike’s all about quality time with his family and friends. When he’s not cheering for his favorite sports teams, you’ll find him getting lost in a good mystery novel or planning his next beloved cruise or travel adventure.

As Director of New Business, Nick is the catalyst behind Excel’s growth, leading the charge in expanding both our commercial and residential client base. With his expertise in sales, strategy, and relationship management, Nick excels at securing new business, building strategic partnerships, driving sales initiatives, and ensuring our services exceed client expectations.

What makes Nick, Nick

Just call him Coach. When he’s not in the office, you’ll find Nick on the sidelines, coaching one of his three kids’ basketball, baseball, or softball teams. If he’s not on the playing field, you’ll catch him on the golf course working on his handicap, or soaking up the sun at the beach, flying kites and building sandcastles with his kids. But his secret talent? A legendary chicken parmesan with vodka sauce!

Diana is the Office Manager for our Customer Service, Sales Administration, and Scheduling team. She’s instrumental in leading the staff who handle all incoming and outgoing customer calls, ensuring every customer interaction is a positive experience.

When Diana’s away from the office, she’s all about soaking up precious moments with her husband and family. Whether she’s unwinding at the beach, hiking her way through new trails across the country, or plotting her next vacation, Diana’s always ready for travel and adventure.

Nick has been with Excel for almost 30 years, having joined shortly after its founding. He currently oversees the southern territory, which encompasses three service centers, and is responsible for the delivery of top-quality service to all customers.

For Nick, it’s all about family—literally! As a proud dad of two, he’s got not one, but two kids working alongside him at Excel. When Nick’s out of the office, he is doting on his granddaughter, the latest gem to join the Ferrante clan. And when Sunday rolls around, or any family gathering for that matter, you can bet Nick’s in the kitchen, simmering his legendary pot of sauce, loaded with homemade meatballs and sausage, ready to stuff the bellies of his loved ones.

Mike leads and supervises a team of 40+ technicians, ensuring smooth operations and route performance. He prioritizes customer satisfaction, works closely with both technicians and clients, and focuses on staff development and training. Additionally, Mike manages reporting and maintains clear communication with all stakeholders to ensure efficient operations.

Basketball runs through Mike’s veins—he’s in two leagues every season and never tires of the game! When he’s not balling, he’s out coaching everything from basketball to football to baseball, spreading his love for sports to the next generation. But Mike’s not all hoops and hustle—he loves hanging out with his wife and kids, whether they’re splashing around at an indoor waterpark or kicking back for family movie night. For Mike, nothing beats the perfect mix of sports and family fun!
